For people who require the facility to test for ketones, provide a dual meter (blood glucose and ketones) regardless of whether CGM is used.

Usual quantity of ketone Test Strips is 1-2 boxes of 10 strips. These are unlikely to be regularly prescribed but must be available to order when required.

If ordering keto strips frequently, please advise patient to contact specialist services or consider referral to if not already under specialist services.
