ANNUAL VACCINATION ESSENTIAL FOR THOSE AT RISK.

Treatment and post exposure prophylaxis only. Not recommended for seasonal prophylaxis of influenza (for treatment and post exposure prophylaxis ONLY). NOTE: National guidance on flu jabs. For flu that is not a widespread epidemic: oseltamivir, zanamivir are recommended options in non-vaccinated, flu exposed, 'at risk' people in specified circumstances. Amantadine is not recommended to prevent flu.
Oral suspension reserved for children under 1 year. Children over one and adults with swallowing difficulties, should use capsules which are opened and mixed into an appropriate sugary liquid as oseltamivir has a very bitter taste.
