5.5.2 Toxoplasmosis
Most infections caused by Toxoplasma gondii are self-limiting, and treatment is not necessary.
Treatment is indicated in patients with eye involvement (toxoplasma choroidoretinitis), and those who are immunocommpromised.
The treatment of choice is a combination of pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine. Expert advice is essential.
