Nalmefene (as hydrochloride dehydrate) is a Public Health England commissioned drug and has been approved for use in the NHS as per NICE TA325.
Prescribers should refer appropriate patients to their locally commissioned drug and alcohol service, where the assessment of patient suitability, prescribing and monitoring of nalmefene should take place.
